The exhibit examines the work and life of photographer Robert Halvey. For over sixty years, he served as a volunteer photographer for The Catholic Standard and Times, the official newspaper of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
Halvey’s images serve as a window into the past and allow us to see how Catholics celebrated their faith in the city of Philadelphia. These snapshots reveal the changing landscape of Catholicism in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia over the course of a half century.
